Issues after new alternator

I have just replaced the alternator on my 2007 S type 3.0, and it seems to be working perfectly. Except the battery light is permanently on, and the radiator fan starts full bast when I turn the ignition on. And keeps going until ignition is turned off. Anybody got any solutions?
