Drive Selector

Hello, 

A couple of times, over the last few weeks, I started my car and tried to turn the selector to drive, but it wouldn't turn.

I tried 'jiggling' it, and nothing worked until I'd stopped and started the engine a few times when It finally freed and turned properly.

Is there a simple fix for this or am I looking at buying a new unit *Shudder* ?

This happened to me about 5 months ago. The unit is on its way out. I managed to get a second hand one fitted for £100.
