cable connector near aux battery on XF

I am having problems with the charging of the Aux battery.  I have found a disconnected cable with a white 2 pin male connector about 6cm long branching from the loom about 2cm towards the from of car midway from the center of aux battery.  There is no obvious female socket.  Whqat should I do?
