Steering Column Locked warning

Hi all I'm Colin, and drive a 2014 XFS Portfolio. 6 weeks ago the car unlocked okay but wouldn't start, a warning popped up "Steering Column Locked." So stuck on driveway for days while I waited for a fork lift remote bogey recovery truck. I sent it to GDP independent Jaguar specialist in Thame who emailed me today to advise he's sorted it, don't know if he simply had to reprogram the CJB and BCM modules or replace the steering column lock module. This issue is common on Jaguars it seems but no information on how to fix it on Google or Jaguar forums. On some posts owners couldn't sort the issue and had to scrap the car. The cost is around £1500
