Hi, I have a problem with my Jaguar, i took it to a garage to have the windscreen washers repaired but when the garage went to move the car it told them that it doesn't recognise the keys.

The garage called Jaguar Technical support who said it could be the auxiliary battery, but it wasn't that as they put a new battery on and it was no different.

The garage had someone come down to reprogram the keys but they could not do it so they connected up remotely with Jaguar so they could carry out some diagnosis, Jaguar  told the man trying to reprogram the keys that he would never do it as all the codes on the car have disappeared and the car has no codes to recode too, they are not saying that it cannot be repaired but it would cost a mega amount to do it.

Does anyone know if it is repaired a rough price on how much it would cost.

And has this happened to anyone before and what was the repair for it.
