do I have to have an internet connection for the day navsystem to work … without actually moving off my drive it appears to work …

I see the SIM card can give me a “shared” WiFi option - I have no interest …

do I need a SIM card connection for anything else that is worth to have?

if so recommendations on sim providers/plans

 

apologies for all questions - trying to get me head around it all

My Apple car play works fine, therefore I have minimal need to the inbuilt nav but you never know …
