Hi all

I have a beautiful 2007 3.5 L S type with about 77K miles.  It has been in inside storage since about last Oct, with  a Deltran smart charger on it constantly. When I first started it today it fired right up but sounded a little rough. I went for a short drive (<1 mile) when I realized it was in limp mode. I made it home OK and shut it off. Battery was 12.5V . Then all hell broke loose. I put my scanner on and it said "link error".    The message center now gives the following: Brake assist fault, gearbox fault, DSC not available, cannot apply parkbrake, apply foot and parkbrake. Also, the CEL light is on, the amber priority light is on, gearshift is stuck in park, and the ABS light is on. Finally the starter won't spin.  It sounded like a security system issue to me, but I could not find a security light.on the console.

I have owned the car for about 2 years, and it has been perfectly reliable up to now. The battery is about 3 years  old. I do not drive it a lot, only on special occasions,

Obviously I need help. The car won't move and it is blocking the wife's car.  I am looking at releasing the parkbrake manually as a place to start. Any wisdom would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

John

Sounds like the battery or the connections are at fault.  I have had almost all of the warnings like you and some more!
