Can anyone help?

I have an intermiittent battery drain on my XJ8 3.2. i am pulling my hair out for evey time i have it tested there is no pull on the battery!, it can sit not being used for a couple of days and fire up with no problem, then there are times i can park it up one day and go to it the following morning and it is dead, battery totally drained! i know its a long shot but has anyone experienced anything like this?
