Hi Guys

I'm in the process of refurbishing the wood on my 1968 S Type. It's in surprisingly good condition under all that cracked lacquer (now removed) but there are a couple of missing pieces of inlay amongst the walnut.

I probably need to repair a couple of square inches in total and I wondered if anyone can tell me what the wood is please? It's a light gold colour and looks like maple or similar. (Please forgive me if you're a wood expert; I don't want to get drummed out of the club after my first post...!)

Many thanks

Mick
