Will petrol ever become redundant? Will they ever actually find a way to replace it? We can ship a man to the moon but cannot find proper alternative fuels! what do you think?

Plenty of alternatives, but the government are making a killing on the petrol and getting richer whilst we get poorer

filling up our cars, why would they want make our lives better.

Shame on you Alan, surely that's not the case, surely the elected Government has got all of our interests at heart? :)

You're right though, while they're raking it in why change and spend significant cash to develop and introduce a viable alternative. One interesting point, while we're looking at alternatives for locomotion, what about all the other industries and products that need petro-chemicals for manufacturing? So many products whether in the home or workplace rely heavily on petro-chemicals to be made.

Our resources will not last forever, all good things have to come to an end, at the rate businesses and jobs are finishing in today's market, people will have no money to run a car, before the petrol run dries, we will have to have Fred Flintstone type cars.
