Hello- Owner of a 1997 Jag XK8 just joining the group. I'm wondering how many 97-99 XK8 owners have had their timing chain tensioners "prophylactically" changed out to the new metal ones to prevent any potential valve damage. My car is a '97 with only 65K miles on it, and runs like a champ. I don't want to spend the $1500-$2000 on new tensioners unless I have to, but I'm afraid I have a ticking time bomb. Any thoughts? Thanks.
