I thought I'd share this with you, it happened to me this weekend and I was going to go out in the car, opened the front gate and looked at the front of the vehicle which is a Jaguar XJ sovereign 09 year, and saw a circle of black greeny stuff immediately in the centre underneath the radiator. I panicked at first and thought that the radiator was leaking, then thought it might be something else and eventually ended up ringing Jaguar assistants who turned out in about an hour.

The technician who came was extremely good with what he did and apparently there is this plate under the front of the vehicle which is called a plate, the drainage from it is incorrectly done in that the edges turn up instead of downwards to let water out. And what had happened was with the very heavy rain that we had and rain had collected and was starting to go green in there accompanied by two snails I understand. Anyway it all came to a happy ending and there was no problem.

An interesting thing that he told me also was that if you get a puddle a little bit further back that looks like water that could quite possibly be from the air conditioning if the weather is extremely humid. All good information and really well carried out in the usual Jaguar professional manner.
