well i bought this the other day as i have always wanted a jag and found myself in the unusual position to actually afford a decent one and to be able to afford to run it and insure it.

what i bought was a P reg XJ6 3.2 24v straight 6 LWB Auto, and what surprised me the most is for the price i paid everything works and the leather in almost in mint condition, it has a couple of very very small bubbles of rust and the bonnet mascot base is on the wrong way and the radio cables have been cut so need to re wire that but apart from the she is a beauty, oh and my clock dont work and the cup holders open every time i look at them or think of going over a bump lol

let me know what you guys think.

I hear what you're saying, last weekend was the first opportunity I had to give my S-Type a proper clean (I've had the car about a month). Obviously when you get up close and personal you spot all the little faults which were missed with the first and second viewing. I've always wanted to go to the seller and ask to wash the car before making the decision - he'll think I'm mad but he gets his car washed for free and it'll be a better job than the people/person they use!

But don't you see the slight imperfections and lets be honest that's what you mention above, these imperfections can be corrected whether you have the skills to do it yourself or you pay someone to do it for you.

When I went for a first look at my car, I didn't notice two great stone chips (more like boulders :D ) on the bonnet. They had been treated/painted/lacquered hence why I missed it but whoever did the job did not fill the chips with paint and build it up to the same level as the original - a bit of a disappointment for this type of car but as said above I'll correct this over the coming months.

All the best
