cost of replacement keys and fob

Hi all

Just got a 2000 3ltr S Type great car love it but it has only come with one key and one remote fob how much is it going to cost for an additional key and fob and is it worth looking on eBay for them and then getting them programmed?

I think the best thing you can do about this is to phone and ask a main distributor, it will not be cheap I can promise you that, my wife lost the keys for her little Skoda Fabia and they were talking £250 to change the locks and issue new keys. It's a very scary situation to be in, because it means that if you've lost one set of keys or their missing anybody can walk down a row of cars and push the button and see which car unlocks.

That then has the further implications with your insurance company if your car is stolen it was not stolen by force or deception and they probably will not pay up – – in fact I bet you that is written somewhere in your insurance policy. My advice is to get this resolved as soon as possible and be secure. I don't think that fitting a tracker is anymore financially economic

Hi Martin

Try searching for a Auto locksmith in your area . They can supply you another key and set the system to key's that are only available at time, that makes it safer for you and no other key will start
