When cruising at high speed (70+ mph) I get a 'grumbling' vibration from my 2006 S-Type Diesel Sport Auto. (59,000 miles) which gets worse as speed increases.

This is not VERY noticeable, but does detract from the refinement of the car at high speed. I don't want to throw hugh amounts of money at this problem, but is there anything I could try that might fix it? (I've had all the wheels balanced).

Many thanks for any assistance.

Hi Geoff

had a vibration at 50 [ok above and below] and noticed severe inner edge wear on both front tyres. Had them changed today and the tracking checked and they found that they where toed the wrong way. I have been thro 50 several times today and as yet no vibration

Hope this helps

Hi Geoff

Could be many things like tracking, balancing, to even the tyres put on the wrong way round.

go to a reputable tyre specialist with the equipment. Don't use small garages with crap equipment.
