i have notices that my tax disc holder (on my 1996 XK8) seems to have a wire coming off it that goes down the back of the dash. whats this all about? its not an anti theft thing as there is a slot that allows you to put the disc in and out no trouble.

Do you have built in Sat nav or traffic reports in to the car?

If not do you have a phone system? the tax disc is an antenna so it is one of them things
