Hi Guys

Not only am I a first time Jaguar owner but also a first time forum user.

Anyway after weeks of comparing the Evoque, BMW 5 and Jaguar XF I've finally ordered a 2.2 Luxury with some extras. I've not committed to colour yet and looking for some thoughts.

I am considering Indigo, Carmelian Red or wondering whether to push the boat out and go for Racing Red.

I am only prepared to consider Black leather interior and I'm concenred it might look 'clashy' in the reds?

I'm told the Carnelian Red has replaced Claret but there doesn't seem to be any about yet and I'm pathetic trying to visualise what the car will look like from the small panel in the showroom.

So whats your thoughts, which colour and if red will it look ok with black interior.

Need to tell dealer soon but don't want to make a costly mistake.

Its a hard one mate.... I have a black interior but its gun metal on the outside so looks moody, which I like, the Carnelian red is a lovely colour though and probably has a little more black in its make-up than the racing red, might be a better match in my opinion.... only an opinion though chap, don't go blaming me :P

My S-Type has a black interior with British Racing Green bodywork and it looks super. Difficult one to call with red, but I agree with Paul in going for the Carnelian if it is the replacement for Claret, I think this would be the best combination with a black interior. You're right in going for black inside though, far more practical than cream and for what it's worth in my opinion it looks better. I am sure you will come to the right decision and will love your car when you get it. Good luck and best wishes Geoff.
