Oh Well, had the old girl all of two weeks now and just found out the long arm bit of the rear drivers side wheel hub is bent and now the key fob has stopped working, any ideas?

Ahh the joys of motoring.

Blimey costing a few quid then. What overall condition is the rest of the car mate? I have a few niggles, but I`ve got 9 months M.O.T left so I might just scrap it at the end of that.

Perfect mate not a mark or blemish, leather A1, phone, sat nav upgraded to 2011/12 for a tenner all working ok and only 70k on the clock.

Yea didnt expect that arm replacement. Ive got a couple of other niggles left to sort such as a sqeaky steering wheel but just bought an additive to hopefully cure it for a tenner and tha reverse sensors are not working and hopefully thats it.

Ive got to say it is worth it though, why are you scraping yours ?

Well, actually mine runs lovely driving wise.. Mostly everything works reverse sensors, electric seats etc.. BUT.. I had a headlight that wouldnt work, I had a mooch and found it to be a dodgy wire so I sorted that myelf, free fix.. Then I had that warning light on the dash, so took the battery off and locked my stereo out! DOH! Anyway, did the old ` 3 incorrect codes/PLEASE WAIT >> PTY A.MEM` trick and again, free fix!

My wingmirrors are struggling to retract and I still have not sorted that out... And I have a slight knocking from the rear suspension now and then.. I have the usual bubble up under the window seal. And yesterday my central locking (which was fine since I bought it) packed in!

So.. Looking at it I have to sort rear suspension, central locking (could be dead battery in the fob possible easy fix), wingmirrors either clean up and work them/get them going again or replace motors, sort knock at the rear, and then theres the engine light I still dont know what is causing the P1000 code... On top of this, someone has reversed into the driver side wing with a towbar and dented it! I pushed it back out but really now needs a new wing you can see where the dent was. If the car was a 3litre Sport maybe I would shell out and save it but I`m just starting to think is it worth the hassle of getting it another years M.O.T when it does run out? It`s just the 2.1l SE. But it does run well I guess it could all be sorted its just time and hassle and I really fancy an S Type...

Its not just a 2.1 SE, its a JAG mate. Looks like you got loads goin on too and I know its down to costs etc Yes, recently Ive been in front of a couple of S Types and really like the look of them apart from the front grill and that they are not AWD but who knows in the future ??????????. Never say never. Good luck with yours mate keep us posted.

OK sorted the central locking, squibbed some WD40 into the ignition as something was clicking back into place when you removed the key and then the central locking wouldnt work because it though the key was still in the car. Still not done my wingmirrors yet!

Haha, I`ve even treated it to a new key fob battery (which then needed the old `4 turns in the ignition/remove key and press a button` - Do this for for each individual button!!). So it`s back in business I`m ordering the rear window seals from Jaguar tomorrow, only 50 odd quid and will sort the knackered seals, they look awful, so should be another easy fix. Theres not too much left to sort.. i`ll get there! Happy new year everybody!
