Hi everybody - I run a 2001 3.0 SE, running on LPG and 130,000 miles on the clock, I've owned it for over 7 years and has been relatively trouble free, just the usual stuff - disc and pads, and rear abs sensors, it's my pride and joys with some subtle mods - 18 inch rims, mesh grille, bootlid spoiler etc.etc

However of late it has becomes extremly difficult to demist the windscreen, or, in fact the whole cabin mists up very badly - this is a new scenario and something i've never experiienced in all the time of my ownership - any body got any ideas? - Cheers !

hi mate and welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club

My father had something similar only last week and turned out he had a leak in the heater matrix behind the dash. But it can also be a leaky door sill... check all the floors and carpets for wet patches as this can cause steamy windows.

Hi Steve - thanks for the tip off, what you say makes sense because I experienced the problem yesterday, when I went on a long(ish) journey, round trip of about 200 miles, and when I did my usual under bonnet checks (Oil, washers and coolant) prior to such journeys, I noticed the coolant level was considerably low - it took a coiuple of litres to bring back to max level on the reservoir ! So when this 'blinking' torrential rain stops, I know what I'll be doing. Cheers again!

Welcome to the club! It seems quite a few people seem to be having demisting problems at present. Must be the time of year!

Adam.
