Hi, i have a 2005 Jaguar S type 2.7 diesel with the following code:

p1934

u0121

Theres a load of faults on the dash which are:

Restricted performance

ABS fault

Brake Fluid low (its not, theres plenty of fluid in the resevoir)

Cannot apply parkbrake

Traction control fault.

The electric handbrake isn't working and the car is restricted in performance and a loud knocking noise coming from the engine. I don't know if the knocking noise is related to the above faults.

I have just bought the car as a mini project and hopefully will pass the car on to the wife once fixed.

Im assuming its the ABS pump/ECU gone. Theres 2 power supplies going into the ABS pump.

Any suggestions to what the problem may be before i buy an ABS pump/ECU.

I have also changed the battery and have tried the handbrake reset procedure.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Sounds nasty!

Before spending pounds chasing fault after fault I'd take to an independent Jaguar service agent such as E & E Services Milton Keynes and get them to do a diagnostic on it. That should identify what needs replacing.

I had a 'Handbrake fault' a couple of years ago during snow, that prevented the shift lever from being moved. E & E's came out, plugged laptop in and reset alarms. Best part, I didn't get charged!

Best of luck

Forgot to mention, do you know about the in car diagnostics. See my earlier post 'Diagnostic menu' on January 8th.

May be of use, especially the Engineering test mode. Worth a try?

Hi, having same fault codes and warnings. It was, indeed, the ABS module? Many thanks
