I have just bought a 2001 XKR 100 that has full Alpine system including Sat Nav, does anyone know if up to date Sat Nav discs are available as I seem to have drawn a blank!

I had a 53 xkr and asked around for this too - seems like jaguar declined to produce up-date disks so I think u r stuck - probs best to just buy a tomtom :(

The last SatNav disc available is the 2003 update. No further updates are available.

A few years ago we tried to get Alpine to produce a more recent update but they refused.

Hi Martin,

I was able to get a 2012/13 disc for my S Type from a company called SatNav Updates.  Just £30 + p&p. Worth trying.

Peter.

Peter,

Their site is under maintenance at the moment, tried for the link earlier .

If I could find a way to copy the discs I would do. I have the software, but there are two discs and they are 7.5 gig each, don;t know where to get the discs from as normal DVD discs are only 4.4 gig

Otherwise I would do a copy for them.

But the last last update being 2003 must be incorrect, as you and I have 2012-2013 discs. And i'm sure the new F Type, and all new jags will have an up to date system.

Trevor

P.S., of for a bimble down to Penzance today, would you like a stick of rock?

I think you will find they are different systems in the X150 and F-type. The next time one of our X150 customers comes in we will try to see if it works on a X100.

p.s if your trip takes you down the A303 I'll have a stick of rock :)

Peter,

It doesn't, but I'm going down the race track (A303, and my favourite road) on July 23rd and August 1st.

I think the last disks for the X100 Alpine system were dated 2003, the X150 are different format and will not work in the X100 SatNav. I have bought a TomTom with Lifetime Maps, much better software with Postcode search, the X100 SatNav was a pig, labourious to enter data and out of date maps.

Welcome to the club, Barry.

I got the up to date disc for my S Type and at a 2012/2013 date, too.  I find it quite easy but I can imagine a 2003 disc would be found guilty of leading you  up a garden path - literally.

It did get me horrendously lost in West London on one occasion Peter, that was in my previous XKR a 2005 model but with the same old SatNav maps, it was shortly after that I bought my first TomTom!

Slight digression for which I apologise in advance but why is there no XKR in the list of Jaguar Models when selecting your car in your profile Peter?

I didn't think there were any individual cars in my profile, Bazz,  I just think my wife is missing the boy racer in me though!

I would hope and expect that the SatNav in the current X150 is a much better, more current and reliable offering.

Hi Barry,

I think the XKR must be included in the XK section.
