remote central locking prblem

Hi every one, i own a 2000  3.0 S type had here for about 6 months, only one small problem with the lady, the remote locking system.

In the morning i have to unlock manually, then insert and turn ignition key on and off, remove key and key fob will work everything, if i leave the car for a short while on my return the key fob will not work and i have to go through the whole routine of manually unlocking etc etc, its as if the remote system forgets the code, any ideas ?????
