new xtype owner

hi there, im completely new to the world of jaguar after years of dreaming of owning one, i finally bought an x type 2ltr petrol 02 reg, just one curious question ........ why on earth has it got a tape player in and not a cd player ? i would be most grateful for for an answer

Welcome to the club and Jag ownership.  Not sure why you're X is fitted with a cassette player, I have a S-Type and have a single disc CD player in the head unit an a 6 disc changer in the boot.  Do you know the specification standard of your X?

 

You could always upgrade, whether original Jag spec or aftermarket...............
