Greetings all

I'm very pleased to say I've just bought my very first Jag :-)

For slightly practical purposes I bought a 2006 X-Type 2.0d estate and have to say how very pleased I am with it.  Drives like a dream and the comfort is fantastic.

I'm a bit of a cricket nut (playing/watching/coaching) so needed something to fit all my kit in (oh and 2 large dogs on the rare family out!).

Now for the help bit - Some b$%@&*d has just driven down the side of it but only managed to scrape the rear wheel arch.  It's a simple case of some touch up work so not too angry but my problem is I don't know what colour the car is!  I've checked everywhere but can't find a description.  All I know is it's black and registered in 2006.  Can anyone please help?

Many thnaks

Dom aka Londonimp

Hi, look on the passenger door sill there will be a POD code (paint code).

It is a three letter code.

Once you have it, Halfords can make and match the paint and put into an aerosol for you.

Also there are a lot of online companies that provide that service.

Hi Dom,

Welcome to the forum, did the b$%@&*d stop and give you an apology/details?

Best regards,

Dave

Hi Dave

No unfortunately they decided their journey was far more important.  It's not as if they didn't know though as I heard the alarm going off which is how I discovered it.............

Cheers  Dom

I'd know what I'd like to do to them if found
