Hi All - I have had my Jag - XK8 for 12 years now, but only found out about this club/forum a week or so ago when I told someone I was going to be selling the house and the car would have to go an he told me about it.  I certainly wish I had found the forum years ago..... but I didn't, so there it is

 

Anyway I hope you don't all think its a cheek with me just joining and then wanting to post about selling my car.  

 

I gave it to myself for my 50th Birthday and have loved owning it.  It is in metallic silver with silver alloy wheels, which I think is a lovely colour combination and looks really classy, and when I bought it a got a personalized number plate Y5SSC

 

I used it as my second car, and really it only got lightly used for the first couple of years, before personal circumstances intervened and it got used less and less till it was sorned for the last few years.  

 

I am not a "madcap" driver, but really enjoyed driving it, as much for the look of it as the road holding and acceleration, which are a joy.  

 

Anyway everything has changed for me again these last few months.

 

I lost my mother who I have had living here with me for the last 18 years, and I suddenly find myself with a huge house and gardens so have decided to sell up everything and hit the open road in some sort of an RV (yet to be decided)  Even if I decide to get an A frame to tow a car I don't think the Jag will be quite right  :D  :D  :D , plus my Great Dane really wouldn't fit in easily  :D  :D  :D

 

So it has to go - hence the visit here.

 

So all my apologies made I shall go to the "selling" bit of the forum - and hope I am forgiven

Welcome to the forum and selling your Cat - tad unusual but needs must?

 

Can you provide some details, maybe a photo or two of the car?  Would be good to tell us how many miles are on the clock, service history does it have a current MOT and the sort of price you'd hope to receive.

Hi - I did post all the details in the selling section, :)  and also pleased to say, posted again to say it was sold through an ad on Pistonheads  :)

That's good news Sue.  I didn't even look in the 'for sale' section.  Well it just shows you had a great car for sale going so quickly.
