As far as I am aware Jaguar don't make an XF with out a Satnav, I think more      investigation is needed.

Hi Steve,

I have had a good look around, and I cannot find an option for a SatNav.  As far as I can gather the satnav is a basic fitting on all XF models,

I have even tried to "Build my Car" and there is no option for including  a SatNav.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Steve,

I have the factory specification of my S Type with the list of optional extra factory fitted.  This con be obtained by getting a main dealer to take your VIN Number into his computer system.

There was a site  given in a topic some years ago but it worked only occasionally.

Thanks for the replies.

I was also under the impression that all XF came with Sat-NAV as standard this is what concerned me. On the surface the car looks immaculate and no other issues. Could this be a problem?? Is this maybe an import and should I stay clear?

It definitely does not have a Nav option, I sat in the car and searched all the options and it was only audio, vehicle and something else, no Nav. The dealer even mentioned the lack of Nav.

I was pretty much sold on the car but thought I would check this before purchasing, is this a red-light???

Thanks

I would ask the dealer to clarify why there is no Satnav as the XF has it fitted as standard and should be there. Something isn't right?

Thanks, I will ask the question.

Currently trying to find out if there was an option for the 61 plate not having sat-nav, so far no luck!

Hi Peter, Steve and others

I have access to the Jaguar system to produce a report showing build date, trim and paint spec as well as factory fitted options etc, so if anyone wants to send me their VIN I can print out these details for them.

Hi guys,

what's the cheapest way to update the navi unit (dvd navi, not HDD) - either some download links to latest working maps, or cheap way (I've read on google that there was some prices like 25-30£ for 2014 or 2015 maps) - I currently have 2008 I think, or 2010 (I forgot the DVD in the car)

Hi Adrian,

I updated my Sat Nav from a 2005 disc to a 2012/13 disc for £29. You will be able to find a supplier for about the same kind of money via Google/ebay.

Regards,

Peter.

I thought that the last DVD for the x type and s type was 2012/13

Peter.

Hi

Has anyone experienced while trying to update XF 2012 sat Nav with a USB, the permanent error message 'Updating map data' or 'Updating map data...50%.  If so I would love to here from you as I've had the issue for 5 months and it also stops the radio working on FM.  Any assistance would be appreciated please.

Hi fellow Jaguar owners. I have just taken delivery of a 2007 S Type 2.7D which makes 2 Jags I now own. (no references to John Prescott please). I also need to update the sat nav as this has not been done since 2012. I have tried the link suggested but this does not seem to up and running now. All I am getting is an offer to purchase the domain. Can anybody suggest another source for the update please?

Hi,

I had a 2005 S Type and now have a 2007 XJ. Both have the same Sat Nav and unfortunately 2012 is the latest version, Jaguar or any other suppliers offer.

Enjoy your S Type, I loved mine but couldn't run to having two Jags, Love the XJ as well though!

Graham,

Colin is right, there is nothing newer than 2012 available from Jaguar Cars for the S-Type, or from any other suppliers.

My 2012 3.0L diesel  XFs portfolio is at the end of its lease so after three trouble free years this wonderful car is being returned and i have no more use for the Jaguar GEN 2.1 HDD Map update Europe 2015 (includes the UK) USB I bought three years ago

Although it cost me just a little short of several £Million I'm happy to give it away - so if you want it and dont mind being a few years out of date let me know and i'll post it

The S Type in question is a different system to the 2012, 2015 & definitely 2017 version offered on eBay. It runs on a single dvd. No provision for usb.

I don't think that he XF disc is compatible with the s type system.  I could be wrong, but that is what I have heard.

I tend to agree, although the discs look almost identical, I used to have a 2007 S-type and could not get a later disc than 2012.

I have recently purchased a new disc, 2017, for my XF, for £29.99, and it works perfectly.

At the supplier I used, they do not sell a newer disc than 2012 for an S-Type, and even on the Jaguar Cars website the newest disc available is 2012.

Cheers, Graham.
