Tyre recommendations

The Jaguar is a performance car, and tyres should also be an important plus a  personal choice.

I have Pirellis all round and find them quite good.  I have some knowledge of Vredestein tyres and they appear to have a good reputation.  There is a local tyre specialist whose prime tyre is Vredestein which is a Dutch/american collaboration.  This trye specialist fits tyres to the Stobart lorries locally, too, so he must be good.  I am seriously thinking of putting them on next.

Peter.

kumo tyres are good and cheaper than mitchelin , dunlop ect. ive got qute a lot of contacts and one used to be the manager at local tyre depot called mitchel diver. their like the middle men. all the garages in our area get thier tyres from them. any way the guy i knew was the manager with them not now he moved on. but i asked him i wanted mitchillins on a merc i had at that time he told me kumos were just as good only less known about, any way i got a set from him at a disscount and also a set of goodyear ultra grip winter tyres. and yes they wer good. but the ultragrip winter tyre in a merc that would not move in an inch of snow. with the ultra grips on wow 6-8 inches snow no probs. ive got dunlops on my xk summer tyres but have a set of pirellis on another set of alloys got them last year but we didnt get any snow in central scotland last year so cant coment on them. chaz

Hi

Try Black Circles online just looked and 255/35/20 'J' rated Pirelli P zeros like I have on my 20in Sentas are £185 fitted price with Dunlop sportmaxx at £183. I have used them several times and always happy with their service. You book online into one of their approved garages and then go get them fitted...

I ended up using tyres On The Drive (mobile firm).

Great service and good price

Came to work and saved loads of time.

4 x DUNLOP 245/40R19 98Y SP 01 XL (J)

Fitted

£621

..... and allowed me to swap out my winter tyres at the same time

tyres on the Drive offer quite a good service especially if you are working and find it inconvenient to get to a Tyre Fitters.

Being retired and  have the time , I have used my local Halfords which is only just over a miles and a half away. And they  always will match any other offer.

Also, having the time to look for the best deal is handy
