Hi Vic...welcome to the club !

Sounds like the heater distribution flap control stepper motors resetting....try switching off the heating/air con system when it next occurs and it should re-index for a short time before it stops.

I have an S type  Diesel 2007 SE model.  It does exactly the same,  I took it in to the main dealers and they regassed the climate control.  It still does it  They said exactly what Trevor said.

Having said that, the Climate control works very well indeed, and a little music on the Radio works wonders.

thanks peter for replying.Does yours make the noise when the heater is turned off and the engine is not running?

Sometimes.  But it does not worry me, as the Jaguar car knows best what it is doing.  I have been driving cars for 50 years from Escort Mk 1 onwards and have found that you do not look after a Jaguar -- just feed it care and attention and it will look after you.

Hi guys,

Glad I looked on here today,I've got same car that does exact same thing, sounds like the dash is alive lol I guessed it was all the little stepper motors but have to say it is noisy? Still as has been said if jaguar say it's ok then it must be? Haven't tried the heater off though so will try that? Thanks

Danny
