Interior lighting XF

Hi Bill Bob,

I looked in my Handbook and found that these interior lights can be in Auto or manual mode. It looks like your interior lights are in manual Mode. In order to put them into Auto Mode (lights should come ON when door is opened) you need to press the centre light with your finger and hold it on the light for a few seconds until it "blinks". I experimented with my lights and this is how I made mine go into Auto or manual mode. In Manual Mode you can switch the lights On & Off but when you open a door the lights will NOT come ON. They will come ON when a door is opened in Auto Mode.........If your Auto/Manual Interior Lights fail to respond to this set up then you must have a "software" problem. I will be interested to know the result...........Regards..........Billyboy

Hi Steve

That light only comes on with the interior lights.

I too thought it was on all the time but checked with Jaguar and they are only meant to come on with interior lights only
