central locking problem

Remote wont lock or unlock doors and using key will unloc doors but alarm does not disarm but unlock button on remote will silence alarm batteries in bothe remotes are fine can anyone help only had car 3vweeks , first jag

Try another car battery, as daft as it sounds, small electrical problems often mean that the battery is on the way out . Borrow a  new one and see if it makes any difference before you go any further.

Thanks Trevour , as daft as it may sound I took both the remotes apart and some black dust type of stuff s

came out , I cleaned the battery and all is well with one of them . The other one I belive is broken as there is no click feeling in the hand whern you press the buttons so will have to replace it
