S-Type 3 litre V6 Year 2000 - Cruise control problem

Does anyone know what could cause a problem with the cruise control not operating. Possible brake switch malfunction ?

Diagnostic computer really expensive but switch cheaper !

I am not very good at the electronics bit, but I rarely use cruise control.

 

There are  many members who will assist on this issue.

It could be a wheel sensor that has become disconnected .

 

Also there are a number of OBD II codes that will disable the cruise control  . Can you borrow a code scanner to check these ( they are about £25 on eBay, a lot cheaper than the garage doing it) ?
