Hi Richard, The Euro lottery did not do its duty this week, so I will have to keep my S type for another week or so. The s type is a very nice car ---- it might well be my last car. Staying fit gets harder when the moving bits are getting a bit worn, I still have not put in an advert, though "Golf Clubs for sale". Regards, Peter.1 point

Hi Ken, welcome to the forum,i only joined a week or so ago,what year is your XKR...? early XK8...XKR are timing chains,they should have been changed at 60/65,000,check your service history,Later ones 2002+ are fitted with 4th generation chains and tensioners,probably need doing at 80,000 ish,cheers Trevor.1 point
