Like you I don't like locking wheel nuts/bolts having experienced a problem where one sheared whilst undoing it on a Merc I owned. Took me days and a lot of drill bits to eventually make an hole large enough to get a decent size screw extractor in there. There are many movement alarms out there and most will have an adjustment so that it will not go off in heavy winds etc, just when car is jacked up.1 point
