  1. I know nothing of coilovers Nathan but I can't see that you'd get "your head bitten off" Curiosity is a wonderful thing. I've found out how to do all sorts of things by asking questions and getting friendly replies :) I hope somebody has the knowledge and / or experience to be of assistance. I can't think that you'd get any negativity going by my experience of the forum members. Welcome to the club btw :D

  2. Most places retest for free if within a certain timescale, the rules: http://mottesting.org.uk/mot-retest-information-fail.html say next day but the place I use allows more, best ask them and take it from there ;)

  3. Hi Chris I would wait until you get the water bottle has you wii fail the MOT and need to pay for a re-test. You are allowed to take a car with no MOT to a test station provided you have and appointment. Well thats always been the way in the past, perhaps another member may have more current info. Derek

  4. I'm in the middle of changing my font offside fog lamp. I noticed that it wasn't working after buying the car. If you get at eye level with the lamps, you will see 3 plastic clips along the front off the grill. Remove these by turning them a quarter of a turn to the left. You could use pliers, but I just used my hand. Next, remove the small trim from the side of the lamp, which just pulls off from the right (for the offside lamp) then there are 2 allen bolts which are about 4 mm to remove. That is it, apart from disconnecting the wiring, which is straightforward.
