  1. Hello to all well after growing up with a jaguar fanatic i thought it was about time i got one of my own . So when a friends dad decided he was going to let one go i snapped it up . I am now the proud owner of a 2005 2l diesel X-Type. Its not a v12 monster that i grew up around but its mine and i love it.

  2. Hi all, I went for the Winrun R330's yesterday and I must say that my initial feedback is very positive. Before committing I spoke to the supplier a couple of times, and I was pleasantly surprised that on arrival it was a decent modern outfit with smart new kit and helpful staff. Final sign off involved a good look at the tyres before fitting and they seemed great, close to a Pzero sidewall and tread pattern but c1/3 the price! All in including; valve, balance, rim sealer and fitting I paid £216 for the complete set of 4! Which I am stunned by for a tyre of this size and performance, who said running a Jag was expensive! On the road the car seems transformed, I've only done 30 miles or so, and I take it (relatively) easy for the 1st 1K or so with new tyres in any case, but they seem composed, predictable and grippy, which is as much as I can really ask for . I'll inform if anything comes up to change my opinion, but at present it's a big thumbs up to the Winrun R330 and to EcoTyres in Southampton who supplied and fitted them . Cheers, Russ

  4. Surely if you change with Jaguar wheels which could have been specified when new, ie, I have Tritons on mine and Mercury's were also an option available, that shouldn't affect the premium. I was never asked what alloys were fitted when I insured mine.

  6. It is true they are designed to run on 95 RON. Mine isn't new though and over 10 years old with over 100K on the clock, so I use the premium fuel to keep the performance up where it should be and keep down carbon deposits etc. I think it would be even more appropriate for the supercharged higher performance versions. I also use Wynns injector cleaner every few thousand miles. I find the following is a good read. http://www.caranddriver.com/features/regular-or-premium Geoff
