  1. jack the car up and make safe ! remove wheel, remove ABS sensor, rearhub/bearings are a sealed unit with x4 nuts/studs to undo. remove disc and hang up the caliper if needed. the hub/bearings will be a very tight fit so caution when trying to remove so no damage is done. then when removed insert a lever between the inner drive shaft joint and the drive casing, with a thin piece of wood against the casing. prise gentle until free from the differential, but if it proves to be a bit reluctant to move strike it with the palm of your hand. make sure that driveshaft oil seal is in the differential and not damaged. you may get a bit of oil spillage but not much? that is when you withdraw the shaft from the unit. fitting is the reversal noting....... new circlips to inner ends of driveshafts, all fasteners tighten to specified torque, then replenish drive fluid. ( torque settings) :- driveshaft/hub nut = 270nm universal joint bolts=44nm

  2. Me too, I'm guessing then it's not been mentioned before? I know there are all sorts of issues involved, 'At owners own risk ' insurance etc, etc and so on, but I personally would love to let her do 'Legally' what she can! Let the Jaguar off the leash Definitely something I would love to do

  6. Mathew, Peter will be along shortly to advise you which one to buy, we all think he has shares in the things ! I think he recommends people to get them on ebay , the one he suggests is a lot cheaper than £150, about £25 I think. This will give you a rough idea, But Peter will tell you exactly which one is best . http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=jaguar+OBD2+scanner+tool&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xjaguar+Universal+code+scanner+D900%2F2013&_nkw=jaguar+Universal+code+scanner+D900%2F2013&_sacat=0 ATB, Trevor
