  2. I have just had both mine replaced at a cost of £500 But be careful if you are still driving it around as you are not getting the revs you need to regenerate the DPF ( If it is in limp mode)

  3. Hi Joan, The 2.7 Diesel V6 has two EGR Valves one each side of the V6 engine. Apparently is is a mucky job, and I have had the code P0402 crop up a few times, I nave used a Wynns Spray into the air intake. Just take out the air filter and with the engine running when warm at 1200 rpm spray in the whole can. Recently however, I have used a fuel additive - a certain amount each fill up. It is called Diesel Auto Max and it is fro Millers Oils and readily available online or Halfords. P0402 is a cumulation of exhaust gas i.e. a sticky valve - sticking shut. A good blast occasionally -- 3rd gear selected on the J gate for 10 minutes can clear it, or use the additive. Let us know how you get on. Regards, Peter.

  4. Having a late start this morning, I found myself driving through local streets during the frenetic stampede which is misleadingly called "The school run" I turned into a relatively narrow street following an ambulance (patient transport, not emergency), with a car in front of it and two cars following me. The lead car came to a halt directly opposite where another yummy mummy had parked her car, completely blocking the road. Had the car pulled in on the same side as the other parked cars, there would have been room for vehicles to pass. As it was, mummy jumps out, along with two little cherubs, and walks off up the road. The ambulance driver used his horn to let her know that there were other vehicles and got a single finger salute from yummy mummy, without her even turning her head, as she walked away. Attitude? Downright ignorant sow I reckon. So, we all had to reverse down the narrow street and find another way out. Not before the ambulance driver had taken a few photos and witness details, including me. Apparently, she came out with a vile stream of verbal abuse as well, but that was beyond my hearing. Said ignorant sow is about to discover that making gestures and comments of that nature in public is a criminal offence under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1968 and that's before the traffic violations are taken into account. Would I be prepared to give evidence in Court should it prove necessary? Hell yes

  5. The car has been buffed up to what I would be called ordinary and others might call gleaming. The lawn has been cut and looks rather nice. I have sat out under a cloudless sky -- Arizonian -- with a bottle of Pinot Grigio -- and look forward to a couple of grilled lamb chops served with sliced runner beans and Jersey Royals. Nice to be retired -- sometimes! Regards Peter
