Finally cracked it. Opened the locked glove box and removed offending lock. Now need a new handle. If I can't get a handle by itself then I will have to replace the lock/ handle completely. It's a bit complicated to explain how I did it. If I can find the time I will illustrate the solution with some photographs which might help others in the same situation.1 point
