Go eBay and buy a FM transmitter very small fits on top of your I pod transmits to your radio. Keep plugged in in your centre box remote in hand or fixed on dash, sorted1 point

Hi Richard, I bought by son a small widget that allows him to play music from his iPhone. I don't know much about these iPods and suchlike --- electric things still mystify me! Regards, Peter.1 point

I'm considering changing the head unit for something with digital line ins, but I have a pre facelift 2001 X200 which still has a tape deck (and CDC). This seemed cheaper and more appropriate for my model than the ACM...1 point

Richard, You need the Audio Connectivity Module. It allows connection of iPod, USB Phono all controlled via the touchscreen. Works in tandem with CDC so you can use both1 point
