i have known the Cat and Fiddle pass for many years from when as a Teenager I used to cycle over the pass to Buxton with my cycling club.
Then it was the Motorbikes, and then when I went to live in Derbyshire it was a regular day out in the car.

Those that think that should have a look around them when they are driving, and realise that Audi Drivers need to be in front of you and BMW drivers are always trying to force others to move over when they want to overtake by flashing their lights and tailgating.
There are a lot of Jaguars where I live and the drivers are impeccably courteous.

The Moffat to Selkirk road via The Grey Mare's Tail and St.Mary's Loch you can see red and roe deer, curlews,pheasants,peregrine falcons,foxes,badgers and if you are exceptionally lucky golden eagles and as an added bonus the countryside is stunningly beautiful.
