Still grinning! Every time I park her, I have to give a backward glance, keep looking out of the kitchen window to see her, I seem to have it bad....

In my experience all that owner key programming routine is just nonsense designed to test our patience! I tried and tried but had to give it up as an urban myth or physiological experiment i.e. how long will you keep at it despite no evidence it's doing anything at all! I eventually went for a good condition key fob (I have the early X200) from eBay and had my local independent programme it for £20. I've since had the original refurbished by an ebay seller who replaced the micro switches. I bought a new rubber pad I fitted myself. 2 decent keys now at a fraction of original quoted costs, job done

Did try and tell you both!!!!!! The Jaguar grin is not reversible so peeks out of the kitche window will continue; and why are there 45 pints of milk in the fridge?! We are both the same; sometimes we are out in the S, sometimes the XK but, spoilt for choice, we are hoping to attend the September Jaguar Breakfast Meet at Gaydon in both; double grin. Hi Adrian, and welcome to the Club. E Types are a bit like London 'Buses -- two new members with similar e types have just joined the club. Good advice in respect of Classic Cars is often given by Jaguar Heritage. The David Manners Group is also rather good a supplying parts for Classic cars. hi have a look at the dccv, Dual coolant control valve its a water valve that control hot water to the l/h and r/h heater matrix there 2 solenoids, when heat is on, there will be 12volts there, water will flow and you will get hot pipes if you put it on lowest temp, then the solenoid should close, no volts on the solenoids, if the pipes both still get hot, the valve are stuck open and your aircon will never blow cold cheers Joe
