  1. I’ve not heard of that engine suffering from bearing failure. I’d put money on the tensioners. They are DIY feasible depending on your ability with the spanners and not that expensive. Top two are the easiest to do. There are plenty of utube videos on how to do it also.

  2. Hi I just joined because I'm planning on becoming a Jaguar owner again, after a seven year gap. I live in Ferndown but the car I'm looking to buy is a Mk V which will be roughly the same age as me !   3. I've got a 2007 S type Sport (bottled out of the supercharged S type V8 R) and often in the New Forest; happy to tag along My mate across the road has a 1963 E type (was used in an Italian bat man film !)

  4. I did laugh sorry at the blame part😞 the rice trick is a good suggestion, may take a few days, will probably depend on the detergent and if any is left behind on the circuit
