  1. A car I had suffered from polish applications, and as Joe said, a lot of polishing does take the paint off. I went then to wax on both Jaguars I have had, and have now settled with Bilt Hammer double speed wax which contains Carnauba Wax and hydrophobic polymers. I tend to avoid too much shampoo and have found that luke warm water and a very good rinse gets the dirt removed and ready for the waxing. My car sits on the drive as the garage is the home for SWMBO's Toyota Hybrid. Regards, Peter.

  2. I've been into detailing for nearly 10 years now and I've settled on Swissvax. whilst their range of products are dearer than most, they are easy to use and give outstanding results. my go to wax is Swissvax Shield and a 50ml pot costing £54.00 as lasted me 18 months, when I've waxed two vehicles (BMW 1 series coupe & Range Rover Evoque) every 3 months, so it's worth it at the end of the day.
