  1. Different seals used in petrol and diesel fuel systems. As the car has been driven needs checking that seals etc are OK. Fuel spitting back as you fueled means that the petrol nozzle had triggered the safety flap to try to stop petrol being put in to the tank.

  6. Hi Bill Bob, I looked in my Handbook and found that these interior lights can be in Auto or Manual mode. It looks like your interior lights are in Manual Mode. In order to put them into Auto Mode (lights should come ON when door is opened) you need to press the centre light with your finger and hold it on the light for a few seconds until it "blinks". I experimented with my lights and this is how I made mine go into Auto or Manual mode. In Manual Mode you can switch the lights On & Off but when you open a door the lights will NOT come ON. They will come ON when a door is opened in Auto Mode.........If your Auto/Manual Interior Lights fail to respond to this set up then you must have a "software" problem. I will be interested to know the result...........Regards..........Billyboy

  7. Being retired and in lock down due to Covid for 2 years, I have only used our car for hospital journey's and occasional runs to keep the battery charged and things moving. I felt it necessary to fill up with fuel for the first time in almost 2 years. unfortunately I put premium petrol in instead of diesel at my local garage. only put 16 lt in as it kept spitting back as I tried to fill. There was around quarter of a tank of diesel in. Drove around 1/2 mile home with no problem but saw on my receipt that I had put Ultra unleaded petrol in. I intend to get one of the specialist tank drainers to come out to my home as I feel driving to a service station could make things worse.

  8. I bought my big cat less than a year ago, second hand, & now I have a problem starting, At first I tried 2 or 3 times & it would start but it`s slowly getting worse, Today it took 10 goes before it started. Anyone else have this problem ? My local Jag specialist says he`s come across loads like it & never got to the bottom of the problem. Any help ?
