I had wind noise on my 2010 XF, checked the windscreen and the rubber seal had come away form the glass at the bottom corner of the passenger side. Simple to re seal and seemed to work a treat.
I love the ITR colour on mine.
Check the window is fully up and then check all your seals around the window and the strip along the bottom. Is it only at certain speeds or any building up the wind noise?
Not seen the window noise issue before I dont think on the XF
Hi Gregory -- sorry I cant help with your problem + I hope you get them sorted ???
but I must say you have a fantastic looking XF there I like the red it really suits the car ??
Hi There,
I put the article on as it actually is on the side of the X type, as am I.
I have owned an X type and they are great to drive.
Its just some people do look down on the X as not a real Jaguar, in my opinion mistakenly.
The one I have seen and really like is the racing green with cream interior, looks so good.
Julie.
I've done about 2500 miles over the last week, (parents visiting from abroad and travelling the UK to visit family) and this morning I noticed a strong burning smell when I got home from Gatwick airport after dropping off. Lifted the bonnet and I can hear a rattling noise that I believe to be the water pump. If the pump has gone then this would surely determine the smell as one of the belts could likely be rubbing?
As I'm pushing 100k miles, the cam belt is soon due and am wondering whether to get this replaced at the same time, as water pumps generally get replaced with cam belt changes anyway.
Should I go through Jaguar or would my local independent be capable? I have a 2010 3.0 V6 sport. I am sure the price difference would be phenomenal?
