  1. Greetings! First time owning a Jaguar (S-Type V6 Se Auto 2005 - hence the username) so thought I would register and say hello. Looking forward to learning more about the car as I plan to take good care of it, so I'll probably be asking some questions soon regarding outdoor cover protectors and the best wax/polish etc. Cheers, AG

  2. Dave Thanks for the advice. I will have to get a stand alone as I do not like the out dated S-Type SatNav and also I would like something larger than the screen on my i Phone. Thanks and Regards, John

  3. Do you have a second fob or just the one? Guessing a button is broken in you fob draning the battery. Maybe worth getting cheap replacement off ebay or jag dealer not too expensive to get a new fob.

  4. Welcome to the club, Anthony. If I wrote what John has just written I would be told that I have written exactly what John has said. My s type has been in my hands since 2013 and I have not had many problems. I just take it easy and enjoy. Regards, Peter.

  5. You are welcome. The S-Type can be challenging, especially in respect of suffering when battery charge gets low. You can end up with numerous rogue messages/codes etc. Best answer is to invest in a CTEX MS 7 or 10 battery charger / re-conditioner and use it on the car at least (if not more) than once per month for at least 24 hours. They will adequately control Parasitic Drain which Jaguars and in particular S-Type seems prone to. I use one regularly and it appears to keep my S-Type under control. There are many users of the CTEK on this forum who would thoroughly recommend them. Best Wishes and Regards, John
