  1. £7000 ONO - See photos and description - MUST BE SOLD BEFORE SATURDAY THE 29th! Location: Warminster, Wiltshire. Having just become a carer for my Mum, I need to change my daily driver for something good at frequent, short runs and clean air zone friendly. I'm switching to an EV, but the part-ex the dealership can offer me is awful! I'd rather see the car go to someone who appreciates a big Jag. This is all very short notice, unfortunately; I'm supposed to be picking up the new car next Saturday (June the 29th) at 4pm, so I need to get this sorted out before then. So, here's the details of the car; I'm providing the registration number as it'll let anyone who's interested check the history and MOT: Registration no.: YC09WVK Date of first registration: 20/05/2009 (after the production line closed, iirc) Colour: Azure blue metallic; interior, ivory with mocha piping and burr walnut. Mileage (as of today): 81634 Partial (?) service history (looks like there may be a gap before I owned it). All the usual stuff: satnav, cd autochanger in the boot, heated and ventilated front seats, all the controls work as they should. It's from the final year of manufacture, so it's got the DAB radio system fitted, along with Bluetooth for the hands-free phone. Four new Hankook tyres on it in February 2022. Receipts for everything are in the paperwork box I keep. It's my daily driver, starts first time; smooth, quiet, refined - what you'd expect from a big Jag. Some minor niggles: The "service required" warning is now on. It had a full service last year, since when it's done about 5000 miles, and is now due an intermediate service, presumably. The driver's side door seal is tatty, so there's a bit of wind noise at motorway speeds (which you notice, because otherwise the car is very quiet). The rear parking sensors can play up in the rain (the front ones are fine, and so are the back as long as they're not waterlogged). The electronic parking brake sometimes plays up after driving in very wet conditions (either won't engage, or won't disengage after engaging). Turning the car off and turning it on again usually clears this after 1 or 2 goes, but I rarely use the EPB anyway. It needs a damn good wash (the photos were taken on the drive just before I wrote this; incidentally, the Driver's Club and AA badges aren't going with the car). Air-con needs re-gassing; I had it done year before last, but it's now taking a long time for the temperature to drop; only noticing it now we've had a few days of decent weather. The dealership offered me less than £4k for it; I was expecting to take a hit, but not that much. With the current niggles and flaws I'm looking for £7000 ONO. If you're interested, you're welcome to come down, see it, kick the tyres, plug in the diagnostic computer etc. It's a lovely car, and I'll be sorry to see it go, but looking after my family has to come first. This has to be sorted out before Saturday the 29th of June (I could maybe push it as far as the Saturday morning, as I'm picking up the new car in the afternoon). I work at a secure site on the edge of Salisbury Plain, so if you want to contact me, either email [email protected] or phone on 07930 371 370; if you phone between 8AM and 5PM you'll almost certainly need to leave a voicemail, but I'll get back to you ASAP. Please note: If you're reading this after the 29th of June, the car is no longer available (as it will have gone to a dealer who won't appreciate it for what it is: the last big Jag that looked like a proper big Jag.)

  2. Truly beautiful last of the generation 1994 Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign. Finished in stunning Metallic Flaminco Red and coach lined in gold with beige leather interior and walnut inlays. This car has been lovingly looked after with a low 56000 miles only being driven, Recent service and undersealed with MOT till June 2025. This last year of the XJ 40 saw a later interior finish including steering wheel, speedo dials, electric memory seats with lumbar adjustment. Original gear knob fitted, Cruise control and Dailmler wheel upgrade . Full documentation including all original manuals. I have had this car for seven years and it is a pleasure to drive. .

  3. Neither car has a key, because they were stolen from the owner while he was convalescing in the hospital. He has since passed away and we have inherited these cars. There is a 1998 Vanden Plas jaguar and a 2005 convertible we are looking for $2000 combined, they could be used for parts or you could order the keys and see if they run. They were both last serviced in 2023. They have clean titles and are located in Norfolk Virginia. Please contact me at 518-653-5610 if you’d like to talk about the cars. My name is Michele.

  5. Hi all, Had my Jaguar XF for a few weeks now and aside from the coolant manifold splitting in half and needing a DPF clean it has been wonderful. I am having issues with the Bluetooth and getting music to play from my iPhone via the iPod USB port however. Also cant get DAB signal but I have figured that is due to the rear window tint. I am also having the wheels refurbished to silver as I am not keen on the bronze

  6. Unless I am mistaken HDI and LED headlight have to be self levelling and must have headlight washers as well. Geoff.

  8. Had a great time at Bridgnorth Rugby club with ARC events Classic car show. Great weather and lots of different marques of cars, including those from Shropshire Jaguars Owners, who helped run the event. Exhibitor tickets sold out before the event, it was very well attended and the atmosphere was superb . Any one who lives in Shropshire who is interested in local meetings and trips with SJO, please contact me for more details. Our next big event is Ludlow Race Course in June, a bigger and even better event at a fantastic venue. Food Available, Bar, stalls, Entertainment and of course beautiful Jaguars. See Events section in Jaguar Owners for details. We can offer a discount on show tickets to Jaguar Owners Members. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1553119958580767/
