I was reading, with interest, about all the problems with cars going into Limp Mode after heavy acceleration. It happens frequently with my S-type auto 2.7 diesel. I'm a bit blasé about it now, and just shift to neutral, ignition off-on, then back to drive. Thanks. Look forward to learning something about my autos. I have two 2001 vehicles. A Vanden Plas with about 27k miles and an XKR with about 17k miles. I'd like a slightly firmer ride on the VDP and a bit less cowl flex on my XKR. No worries, just tweaking....
