  1. Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club Dennis. We would love to see some pics of your new cat when you can
  2. sticking it in the garage to be checked, warranty cover. either needs transmission oil replaced or a bearing issue... lets hope its just fluid. 6 speed transmission fluid change is £230 5 Speed £125 this is at local transmission company
  3. each veneer is made from the same peice of wood and made all at the same time so everything will match the car
  4. these should be bolted from the inside (most cars are) the bolt may be loose and may just need a simple tighten Look at the bolts in the picture. If they are tight then i would say the miroor is broken. it may not have been ckipped by a car but a passer by may have vandelised it
  5. I would like to convert mine too.. i have not looked at the fittings yet but would be great if someone who has done it can upate us on how to do it.
  6. Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club Mate
  7. I have a slight Whine when changing from 1st to 2nd gear in my 2.7 Diesel Is this normal? I have never been in another Disel S-stype so i am just wondering if it is normal?
  8. sorry mate, may have descibed it wrong, the vents are open but no air comes out of them when i adjust it on the touch screen to ventilate the driver
  9. Has anyone experienced a sticky air vent? The main air vent to the driver and passenger face is not working. I press the vent via the sat nav screen but I only get floor or window vent. Any ideas how to get it working? Never looked at this before

  17. i'm afraid not.. even with the bonnet fully up i could lift the blades only 6 inches.. they will not lift up anymore even when clearing the bonnet.... but with the diagram you will see they are designed so you dont have to take the arm off.
  18. i was right see PDF attached for diagram courtesy of member Alan110 instructions Control Components - Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Removal and Installation Removal 1. 19. oh.. yeah its definitely broken then The sensor i think sits in front of the radiator... i will check
  20. i like watching the police programs and quite often they are sent on the chase of a car fitted with a tracker and they always find the car. Only thing is, if its stolen for fun then you can guarantee it will be caned to death and then dumped. If they find it then you are left with a car with damage and you will either foot the bill fixing it or lose your no claims and high premiums fixing it through the insurance,.. written off or not So, if it gets stolen, then a claim will probably be the case anyway. you could be extremely lucky and it is pristine when found. I personally would not bother, let the insurance company pay out and get another car, at the same time save a load of money not having the tracker installed. Just my opinion :)
  21. are you sure its not the wrong setting and not Fahrenheit? it was about 12 over the weekend which works out about 52 fahrenheight just a thought
  22. welcome to the Jaguar owners club and hope you enjoy your x-type.. great cars and drive really nice!
  23. i have added a pic to my post to help others.
  24. i think if it says No Phone then it is installed.. i could be wrong... do you have the manual? it will tell you how to link the car from there
  25. have you submitted the chassis number to them to check? Do you have a local DVLA office near you? you need to check with them for the chassis number if not then i would call them to advise
