  1. Thank you Dom I have also read good things about the Nokian so will have a look at these. Cheers Marc
  2. Having had two sets of rims with winter and summer tyres, I have just sold my XF with these two sets of wheels. I now find myself once more with factory fitted P Zeros on my new F Type, which are of course summer tyres, has anyone got any recommendations for winter tyres: Michelin, Continental or something else ? Also my wheels are now 20" I am thinking 19" would be better for the winter on the British roads with so many pot holes ? Your comments are all very welcome or if you have any F Type 19" rims you want to sell please let me know. Spec: F Type 3 V6 S 380 AWD Cheers Marc

  4. Hi I am looking for recommendations for some new brake disks & pads for my XF Sportsbrake 3D V6 (240). The factory fitted have been OK but they are now worn and it is time to replace so what are others people's experience of what is available ? I have had a bit of look already and this kit for full replacement seems to be well rated: EBC Ultimax Pad & Plain Disc Kit PD40K965 But please enlighten me with other options or EBC if you rate them. Many thanks Marc
  5. I do find that hard to believe ... Possibly Jag drivers are just more honest when it comes to such surveys. Or certain tabloids would like to slate Jag drivers for holding on to a notion of Britain once having a automotive industry. My experience has been .... If they are flashing to pass or cutting in they are nearly always a BMW driver. Since driving a Jag (Oct 16) I generally find more hostility from German car drivers than anyone else on the road and what has surprised me most is Audi drivers I always thought they were a fairly placid lot, not if you are in a Jag they aren't. i would probably agree about Skoda and Volvo owners being reasonable drivers but I have to say I haven't seen many badly driven Jags either. I was behind a XKRS 5 litre the other day who could have so easily burned off a boy racer cllearly giving him a hard time but he kept his cool, as did I when he then tried it on me.
  6. It was a good morning 😎
  7. Yes Peter I would like to attend this event it is on my door step and I was looking for another dealership. Marc
  8. Thanks I had put some oil on but never thought about old school greese it will obviously last longer.👍
  9. At the risk of starting a very boring topic has anyone else had an issue with corrosion on their wheel locking nuts ? To me it is really annoying ( I know I need to get out more). When my car was under 3 years old my locking nuts were really rusty and spoils the look of my Jag, so I brought this up with the dealer who said these werent covered under warranty, so relucantly I bought new ones, yet within 3 months these are also starting to show signs of rust. This to me seems really poor for any car manufacturer. The answer may be to simply replace them with normal nuts as my wheels aren't anything special. In the interim I am now oiling them to try and slow the corrosion down.
  10. Has anyone changed their grill badge from standard black to another colour ? I want to change mine to red but I have seen on other sites that the facelift XF requires the total removal of the grill & font bumper to do this. So I would be interested to hear if this can be done more easily. All advise very welcome.
  11. Hopefully the Archoil AR 6400 cleaner isn't the case of your issue more coincidence ? I have just started using this instead of V Power all other reviews suggest it is the right move, but your experience is a little concerning ! Hope all is well now ?
  12. Problem resolved it was a kinked pipe ....... the suggestion being that the spoiler had been off for a repair prior to my purchase of the car and replaced the pipe had been kinked.
